9A: Beyond the Screen: Building Telehealth Competency in PMHNP Education

Friday, September 25 | 3:30 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. 

This program presents an educator-developed telemental health readiness module that prepares graduate nursing students for safe, ethical participation in virtual psychiatric encounters. Through short, targeted instructional segments, case-based learning, trauma-informed communication, HIPAA compliance, and structured safety workflows, faculty can strengthen learners’ telehealth-specific clinical judgment and resilience across routine and disrupted care contexts.
