2024 CANCELLATION & 

PAYMENT POLICY

Requesting a Summit/Pre-Summit Cancellation:

Cancellations for all or part of the Summit must be received no later than 5:00 PM (PT) on Friday, August 30, 2024.

Processing Fees for Full Summit Registration Cancellations:
Cancellation for Full Summit registration received on or before the cutoff date (8/30/24) will receive a full refund less a $75 per person processing fee.


  • The processing fee will be waived if cancellation notice is received within 10 business days of original purchase; if fewer than 10 business days remain between the date of purchase and the cutoff date, the cutoff date shall serve as the last day to submit a cancellation request.
  • The processing fee is waived for daily registrations.
  • No other exceptions will be made for processing fee waivers


Following the August 30, 2024, deadline, the NLN will make financial commitments based on present registration numbers. Subsequently, cancellation requests received after 5 p.m. Pacific Time on August 30, 2024, may be considered for a refund less a $350 cancellation fee. Absolutely no exceptions will be approved. 


Processing Fees for Pre-Summit Workshop Cancellations:

The refund deadline for Pre-Summit Workshops is Thursday, August 15, 2024. The amount refunded for a cancelled Pre-Summit Workshop is the amount paid less a processing fee of $45.


Without exception, Pre-Summit Workshop refunds will not be made for requests received after Thursday, August 15, 2024.


Please note: the NLN reserves the right to cancel a Pre-Summit workshop due to low attendance. The NLN will communicate a workshop cancellation by August 15, 2024. In the event the NLN cancels a workshop, paid workshop registration fees will be refunded in full.


Group Discounts:

Group discounts may be affected if an individual cancellation results in a change to the group tier. For example, if a school registers four attendees at the group discount rate of 10% and one attendee must cancel, the school will drop below the discount threshold, resulting in an invoice for the difference in price plus cancellation processing fee. See below about substitutions.


General Information:

Please note: Non-advance payment of registration fees does not void the cancellation policy. All registrations not cancelled and not paid must be paid regardless of attendance. Refunds will not be made for no-shows.

 

The NLN reserves the right to modify, cancel, or postpone any or all Summit activities. In the event the NLN is required to adapt the Summit program to a virtual format, the NLN will automatically transfer existing registrations to the new format and issue a refund for any difference in price, if applicable. In the event the Summit must be cancelled in its entirety (both in-person and virtual), registration fees will be refunded in full or transferred to the following year. All other cancellations are subject to the policy as stated above.


Check Refunds will be issued within four weeks of the last day of the conference.

 

Attendee Substitutions: Please call or email Summit Registration (800-321-6338 ex. 103/registration@meetingplanners.com) to inquire about attendee substitutions.

 

By submitting a Summit registration, you demonstrate that you understand and agree to the 2024 Terms, Conditions, and Cancellation Policies of the National League for Nursing


You also understand and acknowledge that any discounts for early registration are applicable only to registrations paid in full prior to the cut-off date. Regardless of the timing of payment, cancellation policies will be enforced.

 

You agree to comply with health and safety measures as identified by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), NLN, and San Antonio Marriott to promote and maintain a safe conference experience. Any specific requirements will be communicated to attendees prior to the start of the Summit.   

 

By submitting your registration and attending the NLN Education Summit, you assume, and release the National League for Nursing and any and all affiliates, from all risks, claims, damages, losses, costs and expenses resulting or arising from your participation at the NLN Education Summit and associated functions (e.g. the Exhibit Hall, Gala, Foundation Fundraisers).

Registration and attendance at, or participation in, the NLN Education Summit 2024 constitutes an agreement by the registrant to allow the National League for Nursing to use and distribute the registrant’s photographic images on the NLN website, in promotional materials (e.g., emails), and in NLN periodicals and newsletters. NLN does not identify attendees or mention their affiliate, without permission, to the government/DoD in their brochures/advertising or in any way when using the photographs taken at the NLN Education Summit.
