10D: Adaptive Clinical Model: A Move Towards Practice Readiness

Friday, September 20 | 4:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.

The Adaptive Clinical Model (ACM) can help transform nursing’s clinical education from a “one-size fit all” approach to an individualized clinical experience focused on developing practice ready skills. The ACM uses students’ demonstrated competencies to advancing their learning on an individual basis. This model requires an academic practice partnership and has two pathways: preceptor and pod. Each pathway can be implemented independently or simultaneously.
