Friday, September 19 | 4:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.
To combat the perioperative nursing shortage, a specialized elective course was enhanced using Kolb’s Experiential Learning Theory. In Summer 2024, a high-fidelity malignant hyperthermia simulation was introduced, integrating ChatGPT 4.0 and a 360° immersive OR environment. Learners reported positive outcomes, citing improved clinical readiness and familiarity with their practice setting, underscoring its value for high-acuity, low-occurrence events.
