10C: A Pilot Internship for Pre-Licensure Students in School Nursing
Friday, September 25 | 4:30 p.m. – 5:15 p.m.
A pilot school nurse internship was developed in collaboration with a college of nursing, state agencies, and school districts. Eight pre-licensure students completed 96 clinical hours, gaining leadership, population health, and disaster response competencies while providing school health services. The replicable model strengthens academic-practice partnerships and builds workforce capacity in school nursing.
