Wednesday, September 23   2:00 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.

This session will highlight effective, scalable strategies for teaching nursing students about household emergency preparedness and guiding them to develop interventions that promote preparedness among those at greatest risk for disaster-related harm. These approaches build on a nurse-led emergency preparedness educational model that has been successfully implemented in multiple formats and with diverse community groups.
