1A: Incorporating VR into an Undergraduate Pathophysiology-Pharmacology Course

Wednesday, September 17 | 2:00 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.

The purpose of this project was to determine if VR simulations linking pathophysiology, pharmacology, and physical assessment content would increase student retention of course content. Scenarios included content where pharmacological treatment for a specified disease process resulted in physical assessment changes. Student retention of content, as reflected on course exams, increased from 79% average to 86% average.
