9B: Empowering Future Nurses: Disaster Response Training Through Public Health

Friday, September 25 | 3:30 p.m. – 4:15 p.m. 

Nursing students participated in a disaster response simulation with local public health departments, operating a Points of Dispensing (POD) stations. This hands-on experience reinforced course concepts, improved critical thinking, and highlighted interprofessional collaboration, preparing a practice-ready workforce for public health emergencies.
