9G: Using Real-Time Disasters to Strengthen Nursing Preparedness Education

This session presents an experiential, theory-based approach to integrating real-time disasters and public health emergencies into nursing education. Using Kolb’s Learning Theory and CDC preparedness competencies, participants will explore evidence-based teaching strategies that strengthen disaster literacy, clinical judgment, and workforce readiness for an evolving global landscape.
