9F: Rethinking Race and Social Constructs in Nursing Education

Friday, September 20 | 3:30 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.

This presentation aims to empower faculty to critically reflect on pedagogical approaches in teaching racism, intersectionality, and SSDH within nursing education. The goal is for faculty to gain a deeper understanding of the complexities surrounding these issues and adapt their practices toward a competency-based approach that fosters social change and prepares the next generation of structurally competent nurses.
