6E: Immersive Virtual Reality Curriculum to Support Competency Attainment

Thursday, September 18 | 3:00 p.m. – 3:45 p.m. 


This project highlights an immersive virtual reality simulation (IVRS) curriculum that leveraged artificial intelligence and natural language processing technology in an Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Nine scenarios in total were implemented, including communication, multi-patient, and interprofessional scenarios assessing practice readiness, student reactions, and team-based competency feedback. IVRS opportunities, challenges, and potential are explored.
