6G: Using a Competency-Based Approach to Psychomotor Skill Evaluation in the Nursing Skills Lab
Thursday, September 18 | 3:00 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.
Psychomotor skills are essential to nursing education, however there is a lack of literature to support how nursing educators can incorporate competency-based principles into psychomotor skills assessment in the laboratory setting. This session will discuss an innovative way of using the the Clinical Judgment Model (CJM) to assess learners’ competency with psychomotor skills in the laboratory environment.
