9D: Bridging the Practice Gap: Creating a Nurse Associate Externship Program in Collaboration with Academic Partners

Friday, September 20 | 3:30 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.

The program will provide BSN/ADN nursing students entering their senior year with skills, tools, techniques, and opportunities to enhance critical thinking and empowerment. The externship incorporates interactive teaching modalities that improve the student’s knowledge demonstrated by decision-making, advocacy, and interprofessional collaboration as they transition to clinical practice.
