1C: Cultivating Climate Change and Health Competencies through Experiential Learning

Wednesday, September 18  |  2:00 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.

Climate change is a fundamental threat to health. It is imperative to educate the nurses about the impact on human lives. We will discuss an experiential-based immersive activity developed in partnership with a rural community to improve students' knowledge of climate change and health. Beyond a clinical attachment, experiential-learning engages students with the community and subject matter, fostering a deeper understanding of the complexities and nexus of climate change and health.
