4A: Hybrid Clinical Faculty Orientation Utilizing an Evidence-Based Approach

Adjunct nursing clinical faculty often lack formal orientation. A Doctor of Nursing Practice project developed and evaluated a hybrid orientation using Universal Design, Certified Clinical Nurse Educator Competencies, and curriculum mapping. The ACNESAT© tool assessed faculty knowledge, skills, confidence, and development needs pre/post-orientation. Themes from open-ended questions highlighted benefits and needs of support.
