4B: Changing Lives by Expanding Access to Nursing Education in Appalachia

Thursday, September 19 | 9:15 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. 

This presentation describes the innovation required to establish successful nursing education programs in Appalachia. Actions required to establish a healthcare partnership, the development of community relationships, the creation of educational and wrap around support, and examples of how this nursing education program has altered graduates’ professional trajectory while also contributing to the health and financial well-being of this community will be outlined.
