5G: Disaster Preparedness: Compassionate Care Integration to Promote Well-Being

Thursday, September 24 | 2:00 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. 

The rising numbers of natural and man-made disasters lead to a need for the creation and promotion of well-being training to support future nurses. This effort blended compassionate care and disaster preparedness education into a simulation experience. The simulation promoted the acquisition of well-being and resiliency tools to support future management of complex patients during disaster situations.
