2D: Simulation Disaster Education for Healthcare Students

Wednesday, September 23 | 3:00 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.

Recent mass casualty events have exposed gaps in preparedness, particularly among new health professionals. Our high fidelity mass casualty simulation as a training strategy improved the clinical preparedness, incident command structure knowledge, and first responder skills of health profession students (nursing, medicine, social work, biomedical engineering) and prepared them to respond to future mass casualty events.
