8D: What if it isn’t (just) burnout? A trauma-informed approach to resilience

Friday, September 20 | 2:30 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.

Nursing students and nurses are experiencing unprecedented levels of burnout, which affects up to 83% of all nurses. There is a striking overlap between burnout and trauma symptoms. Nearly 1 in 4 nurses meets the diagnostic criteria for PTSD, with 91% of nurses reporting one or more PTSD symptoms. Attendees will learn to recognize and differentiate burnout and PTSD symptoms and use an actionable framework to address those symptoms, even on the busiest of days in any professional setting.
