7I: Technology to Develop Dementia Care Competency
Friday, September 20 | 11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
This crossover, quasi-experimental study evaluated the combined effect of an e-learning module with a Virtual Dementia Tour® on nursing students’ dementia care competency using a pretest/posttest from a convenience sample. E-learning module before virtual simulation demonstrated an increase in knowledge scores. Virtual simulation resulted in more positive student attitudes toward dementia care. Findings may help develop students’ dementia care competence.
