8H: From Simulation to Service: A School–Hospital Collaboration for Mass-Casualty Preparedness
Friday, September 25 | 2:30 p.m.- 3:15 p.m.
Mass-casualty incidents (MCIs) require coordinated, efficient, and well-practiced response systems. To strengthen disaster readiness and enhance experiential learning, a nursing school partnered with a local hospital to design and implement a large-scale mass-casualty simulation involving prelicensure nursing students, hospital clinical staff, and emergency management personnel.
