8H: Enhancing Collaboration through Nursing and Radiography Simulations

Friday, September 19 | 2:30 p.m.- 3:15 p.m.

This presentation explores the value of interdisciplinary simulations between nursing and radiography students. Through two scenarios — an operating room case involving a sponge miscount and cardiac arrest in the radiology suite — students collaborate to maintain safety and improve communication, patient advocacy, and teamwork. These simulations enhance understanding of each discipline’s role, preparing students for effective, patient-centered healthcare delivery.
