6I: Strategies to Mitigate Bias in Competency- Based Assessment
Thursday, September 19 | 3:00 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
As nursing education shifts to a competency-based framework careful consideration regarding assessment must be considered. The risk of bias in assessment evaluation is significant when the infrastructure is not in place to understand, consider, and manage high-stakes testing. This presentation aims to provide strategies to support schools/colleges of nursing as they design their assessment strategies with specific considerations for multilingual and marginalized student populations.
