6H: Promoting Equity in Global Health Education: A Transnational Approach

Thursday, September 19 | 3:00 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.

Global health education and curriculum development predominantly occurs in high-income (HIC) countries creating inequalities and power asymmetries. The voices of those who are disproportionally affected by the global health issues discussed in the classroom, are often absent. A bi-directionally, culturally relevant global health course was created for students in a HIC and two low-and middle-income countries.
