3J: The NLN Leadership Institute: On a Journey for Leadership and Career Success

Leadership at all levels of the system in nursing education and practice is critical to address important issues for workforce diversity, health equity and the politics of organizational systems. Continuous leadership enhancement is a hallmark for leaders. It is essential for leaders as they assume various key roles in organizations as they continue on a journey for career success. This session is designed to focus on aspects of two NLN Leadership Institute Programs, LEAD and the Leadership Development Program for Simulation Educators. Bringing together world class faculty and a dynamic curriculum, these programs assist nurses in education and practice to enhance their leadership skills. The programs and outcomes will be discussed. A panel of alums will share their experiences and successes from being involved in the program.
