2H: Rural health immersion for nursing students

Wednesday, September 18 | 3:00 p.m. – 3:45 p.m. 

The presentation invites attendees to learn more about a unique 1-week rural health immersion in which BSN nursing students discovered more about the challenges and opportunities faced by people living in rural areas through activities focused on one community. The experience served as a springboard to complete remaining practicum hours later in the semester and gave students unable to study abroad an opportunity to study at home.
