6D: Equipping Nursing Students for Clinical Response to Human Trafficking

This presentation addresses challenges nurse educators face in integrating human trafficking education into nursing curricula. It emphasizes the importance of equipping students with the skills to recognize and respond to trafficking while cautioning against well-intentioned but ill-informed efforts that can cause harm. Educators will learn evidence-based strategies for teaching trauma-informed care, recognizing signs of concern, and responding appropriately in clinical settings.
