1G: Not just for Clinical Courses: Simulation in Pathophysiology and Pharmacology

Wednesday, September 18 | 2:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m.

Students find pathophysiology and pharmacology challenging. A well-designed simulation can be used to gamify and contextualize content. We have developed high-technology simulated activities for students to learn about fluid and electrolyte imbalance pathophysiology and the essential pharmacology of antihypertensive medications. These activities have been adjusted and are also suitable for large class environments or graduate nurse practitioner students.
